Board of Directors March Meeting

March 31, 2020 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

We hope you’re all safe and well. The March 31 meeting of Seward Co-op’s Board of Directors will be held remotely and entirely in executive session. This is due to the co-op’s priority of practicing social distancing, and the board’s need to learn about and discuss impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our cooperative business. As the board of the co-op, we understand that Seward Co-op owners may have questions and concerns at this time, and we do want to be connected with you. The board is working hard to figure out what is best for the long-term future of our co-op in such unprecedented times.

We appreciate your understanding that holding our board meeting this month in executive session will be most helpful for us to do our work in critical times. We have scheduled a virtual listening session with Seward Co-op owners on Wednesday, April 1 from 6–7:30 p.m. Please stay connected with what is happening at the co-op through our website, social media and e-newsletters.

Seward-made Sausages

Here at Seward Co-op, we take pride in working directly with local farmers, processing whole carcass animals in-house, and having a large variety of fresh, Seward-made sausages. We work directly with many small local farms that we have had the opportunity to visit and see firsthand how the animals are raised and handled. Check out…  Read More

Marinades Made Simple

Concocting your own grilling marinades from scratch is a lot easier than you may think. Long before conventionally packaged marinades were available, oftentimes people would make them from leftover food scraps to make less-desirable cuts of meats tender, juicy and flavorful. When you make your own marinades, you also have the freedom to tailor them…  Read More

Hylands Teething Gel and Tablets

On October 18, Seward Co-op removed Hylands teething gel and teething tablets from our shelves, due to an FDA recommendation warning consumers that homeopathic teething tablets and gels may pose a risk to infants and children. The FDA recommends that consumers stop using these products and dispose of any in their possession. Between July 1,…  Read More
