Italian Sausage Chili
3 links Seward Co-op Italian sausage (any variety), cut into half moon slices
1 yellow onion, diced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15-oz) can chili beans
1 (12-oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (12-oz) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp chili powder
Heat a large saucepan or deep skillet over medium heat and add sausage slices. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
Add diced onion and garlic and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until fragrant.
Reduce heat to low. Add diced tomatoes (undrained), tomato sauce, and beans (undrained) and chili powder to the pan.
Stir ingredients together and let simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
Serve with your favorite chili toppings, cornbread, etc.
