Garlic Green Beans with Shitake


Ingredients

3-4 cups fresh green beans, snapped (from Wisconsin Growers)

2 cups Shitake mushrooms, sliced

4-5 garlic gloves, minced

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Instructions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Blanched green beans for 1-2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium to high heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook, until tendered, about 4-5 minutes.

Reduce heat to medium. Add green beans and minced garlic; cook, stirring frequently, for another two minutes, tasting and seasoning with salt and black pepper.

Serves x 8, as a side
