Talking About Death Won’t Kill You: A Virtual Conversation
October 19, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Talking about death doesn’t make it happen faster, it just helps us walk into it with a plan. Much like a birth plan for an impending baby, a death plan can help you, and your loved ones, have a touchstone to come back to when the time gets closer. Whether you are 28 or 88, it’s never too early to envision the final chapter of your life, and never too early to create a document that gives your loved ones comfort because they know what your final wishes are.
Through community sharing and experiential exercises, you will go home with ideas (and maybe a rough draft) of your death plan. Specific examples of dos and don’ts as well as what qualities make someone a good healthcare agent will be explored. Expect lively discussions, laughter, support, break-out rooms for sharing and camaraderie as we discuss what we want and what we don’t want for those final days.
