We were honored to partner again this year with the Indigenous Food Network and local members of Indigenous-led organizations Dream of Wild Health, Division of Indian Work, Gatherings Café, and American Indian Family Center as they shared their knowledge through a series of cooking and lecture workshops.
These classes focused on different recipes using traditional ingredients found local to our region in Dakota territory, where Dakota, Ojibwe, and many other Native people continue to live and exercise their Sovereignty.
We learned how to make delicious meals, drinks, medicines, and desserts as instructors shared their expertise on sourcing, sustainability, and environmental impacts on local and native-grown foods. As a cooperatively owned and community based business, we continue to learn and grow our practice in acknowledging indigenous land and sovereignty, and we have immense gratitude for those who shared their time and energy with us throughout the month of November.
You can view all of our class recordings below. Recipe links are also provided. We encourage our community to seek out these amazing organizations and learn more about the work they do.
