Community Choice Voting 2020
Seward Co-op owners and customers are invited to select four of twelve 2020 SEED recipients. The SEED program raises over $250,000 annually for local non-profits. There are eight organization to choose from, all of which will receive a $1,000 grant through the Seward Community Fund, whether or not they are ultimately selected as a SEED recipient.

Community Choice SEED Candidate Organizations
Below are short descriptions of the eight SEED candidate organizations, listed in alphabetical order. You can learn more about each by clicking on the name of the organization. A new window will open to the organization’s website.
Cornerstone Advocacy Service (Cornerstone)
Cornerstone serves victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking and general crime. Funds will help ensure victims and their children have access to immediate safety and holistic services designed to achieve long-term stabilization.
Full Cycle is a youth-staffed, nonprofit bike shop that helps homeless youth gain independence through free bike appointments, paid internships, and food access programs. SEED funding supports FC’s food deliveries and pop-up meals at local shelters.
Hope Community Inc.
Hope does housing and community work at Franklin and Portland Avenues – they’re working with community people to create urban agriculture gardens in Peavey Park on Franklin.
InquilinXs UnidXs por Justicia
Inquilixs Unidxs is a nationally-recognized leader in the housing justice movement. Funds will go toward helping to establish a housing cooperative owned and run by 67 low-income families.
MINNEAPOLIS MAD DADS
Please help MADDADS stand up against gangs, drugs, and crime in our communities by donating today. These funds will be used to fund community outreach that helps connect people to jobs, drug treatment, housing, health care, and much more.

Southside Community Health Services
Southside Community Health Services provides affordable access to primary medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care. Our Produce Share Program prescribes fresh produce to our patients to improve their health and well-being.
St. Stephen’s Human Services
St. Stephen’s Human Services operates two shelters in Minneapolis for adults of all genders experiencing homelessness. SEED Funds will be used to infuse the nearly 300 meals served daily with more nutritious, local, and environmentally-conscious options
