A benefit of employment at Seward Community Co-op is community service reimbursement. Our staff can be paid for their time when volunteering for farms, co-ops, schools and non-profit organizations. In the wake of George Floyd’s brutal murder by the police, we decided to broaden this to include any time staff have given to their neighborhoods and community. If staff participate in neighborhood watch, assist in cleanup from fires and vandalism, take part in food donation drives or other ways of helping, they may request community service hours for their time. Thank you, Seward Co-op staff, for supporting your neighbors and our cities – in addition to being essential workers during a pandemic!
On Thursday, Nov. 28, Seward Co-op will have shortened hours from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
