About Kadejan Inc.

Kadejan was founded in 1989, and is a multi-generational, family-owned chicken and turkey producer from Glenwood, Minn. The name “Kadejan” is an acronym made from the first letters of the owner’s children, showing their commitment to running a family-owned business. They began by raising pheasants and eventually were able to expand production to include chickens. Find their high-quality chicken in our meat coolers and featured in recipes on the Seward Co-op Hot Bar.

Support a Family-Run, Free-Range Farm

Kadejan’s chickens have always been free-range birds, happily clucking and freely roaming around their barn enclosure as the weather permits. Their birds do not receive any antibiotics or growth hormones and are fed organic herbs to support the birds’ health naturally and keep them pest-free. After harvesting, all products are air-chilled without any added water or broth. This process is unique to Kadejan and helps ensure you’re paying for the chicken, and nothing else.
