Celebrating Pride at Seward Co-op
Support Trans-Owned Small Businesses
Homebody MN is a local trans-owned company making candles from thoughtfully sourced materials. Started in 2020 when the founder’s love for candles turned into a love for candle making, Homebody MN is committed to producing “clean” candles that are phthalate- and lead-free and 100% soy wax. Find Homebody MN candles at the Franklin store.
Baking Up Pride at Seward Co-op
The outsides of our buildings say “Everyone Welcome” and we aspire to walk that talk on a regular basis. We strive to employ a staff that reflects the diverse communities that we serve, and the Bakery is a place that proudly represents members of our local, thriving LGBTQ+ community. Meet a few of the staff baking up delicious treats for both stores.
Have a Sweet Pride
We feature LGBTQ+ producers year round and are always looking for ways to provide more inclusive services at our stores. Learn about a few of our LGBTQ+-owned producers for a sweet way to celebrate this year.
Striving for an Intersectional Pride
Our goal has always been to create space that is comfortable and safe for everyone to gather, work, and shop. At Seward Co-op, we welcome opportunities to continue learning and growing more in community. Read about our commitments to inclusivity, affirmative language, and working from an intersectional lens.
Round Up to Support Mental Health Care for LGBTQ+ Youth
This June, round up at the register to support our SEED Recipient RECLAIM. RECLAIM provides financially accessible, specialized mental health care to queer and trans youth aged 12-25. Started nearly 15 years ago when existing services for LGBTQ+ youth were cut from other local nonprofits due to the financial recession, RECLAIM is working to expand their connections throughout the state to improve the landscape of access. Read more about RECLAIM and round up next time you’re in stores.
