Our Meat & Seafood staff have a unique skillset you can’t find at most conventional grocery stores. Our in-house meat cutters offer a whole carcass butchery program, which promotes the use of the entire animal and means you can order any cut you like every day. The whole carcass program also offers co-op staff the opportunity to maintain and preserve strong, direct relationships with the small-scale, local Community Foods farmers and fisherpeople from whom we source our meat and seafood. With this experience and knowledge, our expert staff can help you find the best meat and cut for your holiday meal.
Special Order Meats
Another benefit of whole carcass butchery is that the co-op is able to offer any cut via special orders. Keep this in mind as winter celebrations approach! Consider special ordering to help make a traditional meal or something new. Seward Co-op offers high-quality meats from Community Foods producers such as leg of lamb from Lamb Shoppe, standing rib roast from Peterson Craftsman Meats, wild-caught salmon from Seafood Producers Cooperative, duck from Wild Acres, and whole carcass 100% grass-fed beef from Blooming Prairie that skilled Seward staff butchers break down in-house for the steak or cut of your dreams!
