Phil Farzanegan started Minnesota Dairy Lab as a creative outlet for himself and as a way to learn as much as possible about the art and science of ice cream and frozen desserts. Since selling his first pint of ice cream in 2022, Phil has been making small batch, handcrafted ice cream with an emphasis on local partnerships and collaborations. Minnesota Dairy Lab pasteurizes their own base mix in-house, giving them a greater degree of control and flexibility in crafting their ice cream and allowing them to make the highest quality products possible. Their flavors, ranging from varieties like Brown Butter Rosemary to Malted Heath Bar, are often creative twists on nostalgic classics. They use local ingredients wherever and whenever they can.
