Little Big Sky Farm is a diverse vegetable farm owned and operated by Jenny and Dan Kapernick located in the beautiful Minnesota River Valley in Henderson Minnesota, 50 miles south of the Twin Cities. They grow approximately 50 different vegetables on 2 1/2 acres of cultivated land for the Twin Cities and the greater St. Peter-Mankato area.
Little Big Sky Farm’s mission is to produce chemical-free, high-quality, sustainably grown vegetables for their community, while paying close attention to soil health and creating educational and entertaining experiences for the people who interact with their farm. Jenny and Dan have restored a few acres of prairie on their farm, and the other tillable acres are either cover cropped or farmed each season. They are passionate about keeping the soil healthy and growing the best food for their CSA members
“We are invested in infrastructure such as our greenhouse, deer fencing, row cover and irrigation to allow us to provide a consistent, quality harvest in the face of these challenging variables. CSA members provide stability to farmers by sharing this risk. Our goal with each week’s box is to exceed your expectations!”
