LaClare Creamery is a family-run farm in Wisconsin that only sources milk from local goat farmers within a 15 mile radius from the creamery. Named for founders Larry and Clara Hedrich, who started what would become LaClare Creamery with just two goats in the late 70s, this small-scale Community Foods producer is a master at chèvre, with flavors ranging from fig and honey to maple bourbon, garlic and herb, and more. LaClare Creamery is dedicated to making cheese with a clean taste and extraordinary flavor, with freshness at the core of everything they do.

LaClare Creamery’s award-winning cheeses start with the freshest goat milk they can get. By sourcing dairy from farms within a 10-15 mile radius of the creamery, LaClare is able to minimize CO2 emissions while maximizing flavor and freshness. This close proximity of farm-to-creamery protects fresh milk from agitation and the breakdown of proteins, resulting in the delicious goat cheeses they offer. Additionally, milk begins its journey into cheese within just 48 hours of arriving at the creamery.
