Inesscents began in 2000 when founder Amber Ashley started practicing and refining the processes of making small-batch, intentionally crafted topical skin care products. Inspired by the aromatic oils and indigenous plant knowledge she encountered during travels to North Africa and Southeast Asia, Amber sought to prioritize integrity-based sourcing, product effectiveness, and connecting people with the gifts of plants. Organic ingredients are of primary importance, and Inesscents makes their own tinctures, glycerites and herbal macerations in house. Many of the plants used are organically grown in Southern Oregon, where the company is based. A global network of farms and suppliers offer additional support, with Inesscents working to help sourcing partners obtain organic certifications.
Inesscents works towards building a healthy, thriving community through support of their producer and co-op retail partners. They are rooted in their shared values for natural, organic products and resilient supply chain systems that are based in thoughtful sourcing. As one of the first organic and fair trade skin care companies in the country, Inesscents aims to support a strong and vibrant network of international organic producers and farmers.
