Learn About Botanical Lucidity
A lifelong lover of tea, herbal medicines, and holistic supplements, Kayla Emmons started Botanical Lucidity in 2019 by making tea concentrates in her own kitchen in the Twin Cities. Though the initial results of her elixir experimentation were bitter and sour, Kayla eventually found a method to produce highly drinkable supplements that balanced taste with herbal potency. That same year, Kayla introduced her Botanical Lucidity elixirs to several local grocery co-ops and has since grown her business to have a presence in co-ops across the state. Her powdered concentrates come in varieties like Adaptogenic Golden Chai, Magick Matcha, Longevity Mushroom Potion, and more. You can find Botanical Lucidity elixirs in some of the drinks at Seward Co-op’s Deli counter, too!
Kayla began her Minneapolis-based small business after a decade of exploring, studying and teaching yoga, Pilates, Thai bodywork, and herbalism. Botanical Lucidity products are certified organic. At the time of writing, Kayla’s products are exclusively sold in co-ops, a circumstance she values fully for the relationships she’s built with the people who work and shop in them. Through demos, Botanical Lucidity is able to directly and thoughtfully engage with co-op shoppers, and the feedback from those interactions has been crucial to helping the company grow. “We’re so grateful for the space to exist on grocery shelves that co-ops like Seward have given us. We wouldn’t be here without that opportunity, or especially without the co-op communities who support us,” Kayla says. “We believe that in a healthy community, the people involved are cooperatively working together to better the systematic, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of one another.”
