Learn about Ames Farm
Ames Farm began in 1995 when owner and founder Brian Ferdericksen tasted dandelion honey for the first time. It was part of Brian’s early season honey harvest, and he realized that the bees make different tasting honey depending on the season and what’s in bloom. Since then, Ames Farm has produced single-source honey that provides a floral snapshot of what each hive of bees were harvesting pollen from at the time. They take beekeeping and honey seriously as a pursuit of the natural floral diversity in Minnesota, where they’re based near Watertown.
