Join us for drinks, tacos from Habanero Tacos, and socializing with fellow Seward Co-op owners as we return to Arbeiter Brewing for the Annual Owner Meeting. Our annual meeting features a report reviewing the past year of co-op financial and community impact. We’ll also be announcing our 2027 SEED and grant recipients, and the results of our Board of Directors election. Let’s kick off the 55th year of Seward Co-op together!

The Agenda
To those that have been to our Annual Owner Meetings in the past: welcome back! If you’re new to the event, we’ll be gathering in community to enjoy food, drink, and hold a short business meeting to review the past year. We will announce the 2027 SEED recipients (including the winners of the Community Choice vote) and the newly elected members of the board; and hand out our annual Scorecard, which tracks the work we’ve made towards our Ends statement. The business portion of the evening will be held toward the beginning of the event, with mingling and merriment to follow.
Food and Drink
Arbeiter Brewing
We’re excited to host the Annual Owner Meeting at Arbeiter Brewing again this year! Arbeiter, which is located on Minnehaha Ave. just south of the intersection at Lake Street offers a comfortable and casual backdrop. They offer house-made brews, as well as non-alcoholic options like soda and kombucha in a welcoming and inclusive environment. All adult attendees will receive one drink ticket, and juice boxes will be available for kids. Additional beverages can be purchased with cash or credit card.
Habanero Taco
Local food truck Habanero Taco will provide heavy appetizers for the evening. Each attendee will receive one food ticket for two chicken or vegan street tacos on corn tortillas, with toppings, chips, and salsa.

Getting There
Parking is free and available along Minnehaha Ave., as well as in the lots next to and behind Arbeiter. Bus lines 7 and 21 have nearby stops and the Lake Street Midtown Station, on the light rail Metro Blue Line, is less than a 10 minute walk from Arbeiter. There is abundant bike parking around and near the building.
Accessibility
Seating
Seating at Arbeiter Brewing is available, but limited. Most attendees will be standing. We kindly ask that chairs be made available as needed to those who require them.
Interpretation Services
If you would like to request interpretation services at the Annual Meeting please email board@seward.coop by Monday, October 5.
Bringing Kids
There will not be formal childcare at this year’s Annual Owner Meeting, but there will be a Microgreens kids engagement table. Please be sure to register any children you plan to bring to ensure we have enough supplies on hand!
Sensory Considerations
Arbeiter Brewing is a smaller venue than those where past Annual Owner Meetings have been held, and the environment can get somewhat loud. Ear plugs and sensory resource items will be available.
We also ask attendees to refrain from using strongly scented products before the meeting.
Health Considerations
Masks are not required but are welcome. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing any symptoms of illness.
