How do I become an owner?

Select 'Join' in the navigation bar then click 'Become an Owner' from the drop-down menu...

  1. Click Become an Owner >
  2. Fill out the short form and look for the confirmation email.
  3. Visit a Seward Co-op store to pay for your ownership at checkout or at the Customer Service kiosk.
  4. You can also fill out the online form and make payment at Customer Service all at once.   

How much does it cost to become an owner?

What is the Owner Portal?

The Owner Portal allows owners to...

The Owner Portal allows owners to view and edit ownership contact information, set receipts and communications preferences, view shopping and donation histories, create shopping lists, and much more!  

How do I access the Owner Portal?

Click "Owner Login" in the top right navigation bar.

How do I change my owner account?

Click "Owner Login" in the navigation bar...

Click “Owner Login” in the top right of the navigation bar.

Enter your owner number and password then click “Log in.” 

First time logging in? Register here.

Click the “Update” button at the bottom of the Contact Information page to get started. 

Can I use the Owner Portal if I do not have an email address?

Yes. Staff can help you register your account...

Yes. Staff can help you register your account on the Owner Portal at Customer Service kiosk in the stores. 

What is the needs-based discount?

Co-op owners who have financial need may apply for our everyday needs-based discount of 10%...

Co-op owners who have financial need may apply for our everyday needs-based discount of 10%. The discount expires after one year and can be renewed at that time for those who qualify  

How do I qualify for the needs-based discount?

If you or someone in your household is currently enrolled in...

If you or someone in your household is currently enrolled in Minnesota Food Assistance/Support; Minnesota Health Care; Social Security Disability Insurance; Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program ; or occupies Section 8 Housing, you may request the needs-based discount.  

Do I get the needs-based discount if I purchased a needs-based ownership?

Only owners may qualify for the needs-based discount. 

For those currently enrolled in Minnesota Food Assistance/Support; Minnesota Health Care; Social Security Disability Insurance; Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC); or Section 8 Housing, a new ownership can be purchased for an initial equity investment of $15. The remaining $60 of owner equity is earned when future patronage refunds are converted to class A stock until the combined total reaches the full $75 cost.
