The CDC and FDA are currently investigating a multistate Salmonella outbreak linked to cantaloupe. As a result, they have recalled a number of cantaloupe brands and issued a nationwide advisory recommending that people should not eat recalled cantaloupe or products containing recalled cantaloupe. While Seward Co-op has no information that would indicate any affected melons have been sold in our stores, we are issuing this notice out of an abundance of caution. All product has been removed from the shelves at both stores. No other produce is affected by this decision.
If you purchased cantaloupe from Seward Co-op between October 18 and Nov. 28, 2023, it will be fully refunded at the store it was purchased.
