Canning 101: An Introduction to Water Bath Canning

Whether you buy your favorite produce in bulk at the farmers market or grow your own bounty, canning is a great way to make sure nothing goes to waste.

Join Hennepin County Master Gardeners and Certified Food Preservation Consultants Mary Webber and Taylor Tinkham for an introduction to canning. You’ll learn about canning equipment, safe canning practices and techniques, and see a full demonstration of the canning process with lots of opportunities to ask questions along the way. You’ll leave with tons of resources and the confidence to start stocking your shelves at home!
