Dolcezza Gelato is recalling pints of their gelato due to the possibility of contamination. During a routine FDA inspection of Dolcezza Gelato’s 3^rd party co-manufacturing facility, the bacteria listeria monocytogenes was found on one piece of equipment used to make product for a different company.

Though the bacteria was not found on any of the equipment used by Dolcezza Gelato, or in any of their tested product, Dolcezza Gelato is recalling their pints of gelato out of an abundance of caution. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and those with weakened immune systems.

Seward Co-op may have sold these products at both stores from May 29, 2023 – June 25, 2024. Affected product has been removed from shelves and back stock. If you purchased these products with the following lot numbers at Seward Co-op, they will be fully refunded at the store they were purchased.
