We have had a number of customers ask about our plans for the Creamery Café. Although restaurants have been given the okay to reopen with limitations, the co-op has decided not to reopen the Creamery Café at this time. We simply do not see a way to operate it in alignment with COVID-19 safety measures – half capacity and social distancing – without adverse financial impact to the co-op. We built the Café to create a community space where people can come together to share a meal. COVID-19 makes that virtually impossible. We will evaluate this situation later this summer, to determine if reopening this fall can occur. Café staff will continue to have jobs in the stores during this time.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, Seward Co-op will have shortened hours from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
