For over two decades, Seward Co-op hosted an annual Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fair. While our last CSA Fair was in 2024, working with local farms and supporting a robust regional food system has been a longstanding priority at Seward Co-op. Whether in the form of fruits and veggies, eggs, meat, or cheese, locally farmed products from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa come with a plethora of benefits: they help support the local economy, use fewer resources—and thus create fewer carbon emissions—in transporting product, and they arrive fresher than items that had further to travel. At both our Franklin and Friendship stores, we offer free CSA box drop areas as part of our commitment to local agriculture.

Meet two of our CSA producers
Featherstone Farm, a 225-acre certified organic farm in Rushford, Minn. grows more than 95 varieties of fruits and vegetables for co-ops, restaurants, and CSA members throughout the Upper Midwest. Featherstone is committed to environmental sustainability, with geothermal heating and cooling in their packing shed and a solar array supplying 60% of the farm’s energy.
Jubilee Rock Farm is a small-scale, organic, family-run farm located near Clam Falls, Wis. They grow a wide variety of heirloom and seasonal produce for CSA members, farmers markets, and local businesses using organic and regenerative practices to maintain healthy soil and sustainable yields.
CSA Pick-ups
Seward Co-op proudly supports local agriculture by offering CSA box drop areas at both of our stores, which helps small-scale farmers reach urban subscribers, reduces food transportation miles, and brings fresh food to our community. At our Franklin store, unclaimed boxes are held for one full business day. All CSA questions should be directed to the farms themselves, as Seward Co-op serves as a drop-off location only.
