One way Seward Co-op lives its Ends Statement to “sustain a healthy community” is through robust community grant and donation programs. The SEED program allows customers to “round-up” their grocery bill for a monthly recipient non-profit. Seward Community Fund grants are awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 per recipient. We also offer gift cards to non-profits for use at silent auctions, fundraisers, or other one-time events. In addition to these donation programs, the co-op provides monetary sponsorships for local events and nonprofits. These sponsorships have supported a wide range of organizations and causes aligned with the values of the cooperative movement.
Community Donations
Seward Co-op gift cards enable dozens of community nonprofits to purchase food for fundraising or volunteer events for their organizations.

The SEED program is a simple yet powerful community giving opportunity that allows customers to “round-up” their grocery bill for recipient organizations that share our commitment to a healthy community. All funds donated at the register are given directly to the recipient organization at the end of each month, often totaling over $10,000 per month. Learn more about SEED applications here.
