Seward Co-op’s Board of Directors is seeking candidates in the 2019 board election. If you are committed to the cooperative business model and want to ensure the long-term success of our co-op, please consider being a candidate. In order to receive a Board Candidate Application, attendance is required at a board meeting and a candidate information session this summer.

Info sessions will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays June 25, July 30, and Aug. 27. Join us to learn about expectations and responsibilities of board service from current directors. Please RSVP by emailing

2019 Election Details

There are four at-large seats open. Three are three-year terms and the fourth seat is a one-year term. The candidate who receives the fourth highest number of votes will serve the one-year term. Current Seward Co-op employees are not eligible to be candidates in 2019. This is because Seward Co-op bylaws restrict the number of employees on the board of directors to two, and both employee directors are currently mid-term.

The election will be held in October, ending at the Annual Meeting on Oct. 22.
