Mary Alice Smalls

ImageIn the past, Mary Alice has been a member of a worker-owner cooperative, lived in and managed co-op housing. She also has firsthand knowledge and experience with the challenges and barriers faced by co-ops as alternative and socially responsible businesses.

Very much a believer in the power of group process, Mary Alice trained and volunteered off and on in group facilitation and decision-making methods with the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) in the past.

Mary Alice is currently a Regional Property Manager with the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority with outside of work interests in anything related to cooperative development in the U.S. She is a budding gardener, enjoys hiking, biking, Pilates, traveling and being a ‘foodie’ of good healthy food!
