The co-op now carries Lebni from The Greek Gods. Lebni is a kefir cheese that can be used anywhere you'd typically use sour cream, such as with burritos or as a soup topping. Mix Lebni with olive oil and mint and use it as a Mediterranean dip - it is divine and includes cultures and probiotics! - Brad J., Grocery

Miriam joined Seward Co-op’s board in 2006, six months after she left her job at the Co-op to work at Eureka Recycling, a local zero-waste nonprofit with a mission to demonstrate waste is preventable, not inevitable. She currently manages Eureka Recycling’s zero-waste event services program and contributes to the research and development of other programs, including resource management contracts and a public space recycling study. Miriam leads waste reduction efforts at events and institutions and oversees hands-on research, data collection and analysis for developing programs. Previously, in between traveling abroad for college, she worked for nearly 10 years at the Co-op. She studied cultural evolution and general anthropology in India and journalism in Costa Rica through Long Island University’s Global College.
