Applesauce Granola Cookies
These simple cookies are classic and delicious. Perfect for packing into a lunchbox.

Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon maple extract
1/2 teaspoon molasses
1 egg
1/2 cup applesauce
2 cup flour
2 cup apple cinnamon granola
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Icing
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners sugar

Method

Lunch Box Veggie Dip

Lunch Box Veggie Dip

Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon white vinegar

Directions
Stir together mayonnaise, turmeric, garlic salt, sugar, onion, horseradish and vinegar in a small bowl. Chill 2 hours before using. Pack in an insulated container with a medley of fresh cut vegetables, and keep chilled.

Ingredients
1 cup onions, chopped 
2 cloves garlic, minced 
1 green chili, minced 
3 cups vegetable or chicken stock 
2 teaspoons ground cumin 
2 cups cubed sweet potatoes 
1 red bell pepper, seeded and small diced
3 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels 
Salt and pepper to taste

Know Our Grower

For nine consecutive springs, Seward Co-op's Community-Supported Agriculture Fair has provided a meeting point between rural and urban folks committed to the local food economy. This year, we continue to build upon this connection. Beginning in June, Seward Co-op will introduce "Know Our Grower," a new opportunity to bring co-op members and farmers together.

Grocery Stocker

Seward Co-op Grocery and Deli seeks a part-time grocery stocker
to start immediately. The position requires flexible hours and will include day, evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Order receiving and check in
  • Stocking grocery, dairy, bulk and frozen departments
  • Cleaning
  • Maintaining back stock
  • Customer service

Seward Co-op Produce Department is looking for a part-time produce worker to start immediately.  This is a flexible position, and requires evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing excellent customer service
• Prepping and stocking produce
• Light receiving
• Maintaining attractive displays
• Maintaining cleanliness of the department
