Local Ham & Swiss

Have you tried the Local Ham and Swiss sandwich from the Deli yet? We use tasty local ham from Beeler’s farm, bread from a local bakery, Swiss cheese and onions, and toast it hot when you order it. - Sean, Deli counter

Melissa Brown, a Minneapolis stay-at-home mother of three, started her company Sprouting Soles in February 2010. She began producing handmade Robeez-style baby shoes and within a few months, added a line of reusable handmade snack and sandwich bags in an effort to never buy Zip-loc bags again.

Sprouting Soles Snack Bags are made with a non-toxic & food safe polyurethane-coated nylon interior. They are mildew and rot resistant as well as washing machine safe (just don't put them in the dryer). Food is kept extra fresh with a Velcro seal, and loop tabs sewn securely to the tops help kids pull the bags open. The bags are great for road trip snacks, bringing lunch to school or work, storing small leftovers and even as a toiletry pouch for travel. Look for Sprouting Soles Snack Bags in three sizes, in a variety of fun designs, near the lunchboxes in the co-op’s houseware aisle.
