Culinary heritage starts with herbs and spices. Participants will learn the signature spices of each region and use them to create a stew that explores the African heritage behind seasonally available root vegetables.
$12/$10 co-op owners

African Heritage cooking is a plant-based, hands-on cooking series that will explore simple and delicious foods of Africa, the Caribbean and the American South. Participants will receive an introduction to the vibrant history, culture and nutrition of African heritage foods while preparing a dish reflecting the class topic.
Please register for this event at Customer Service. Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the date of the class. Classes may be cancelled by Seward Co-op (for a full refund) if there isn’t a sufficient number of attendees registered.
